just a new update if i can remember anything
Been non stop excitement for the last while. Roadies -Wade has been racing well in France and has made an impact on his team, as we new he would. Ryan has stated to come on with a real concentrated effort in training and is ready to go to the next level. Andrew Ward has been making steady progress but has been really unlucky racing in Aus, but it will click soon. Tom David is still finding his feet at the U23 level, just as Ryan, Logan and Clinton did in their first years. Logan has been up and down with training and racing but looking to have a strong 2nd half. Clinton has been in great form and has been winning races, and another top 10 finish in Paris Roubaix. The plan now is to win as much as possible to make a CV that turns heads.
The MTB riders have been making good results as usual. Ash the U23 National Champ, Monique the North island series winner. Patrick Avery, Scott Green and Nigle McDowell also great national series and championships. The Worlds team has been anounced and in the first round of selections Ash, Monique and Patrick have been selected and we hope that Scott will be added to the list after this weekends racing. Thomas Lindrup has had a few problems but now has that sorted and is training well for defence of his World 24hr Title.
My coaching has been going well with, I was invited to be guest speaker at a Sport BOP coaches breakfast and just recently was the Bike presenter at a training camp for Tri athletes going to the age group world championships. The Waiariki Bike Squad (now including road and track riders) has been going great and with Katie and Carl also making the worlds team, the squad will have great representaion at the worlds which is a fantastic achievement for the team.

team changes
well Logan's Cinelli team turned a bit crapolla, but the silver lining was still there with Nico Mattan the team director looking at options and has taken the Cinelli sponsorship and joined with Down Under to keep the pro dream alive. Logan is on his way to Belgium to have hopefully his best ever season.

No National Titles this year but close!
Big ups to Ryan Wills with a very close TT results only 4 seconds off the U23 National Title finishing in 2nd place. Both Ryan and Wade had good solid road races but the race was a little soft with the break gone and no one willing to chase, but thats racing!!
Monique won the Auckland round of the National series and takes lead in NI XC series.
Clinton is off the bike still and we are working on that. Logan is training hard in Perth and I have write an number of training programs and finish my degree in the next few weeks.

the good and the bad
first the good
Nigel and Patrick both won their races at the first round of the North Island National series, Monique was 2nd and Ash 5th and Scott 6th.
the bad
Clinton would have won the Elite but on last major decent he stacked it and had to one leg pedal his way to the finish. His lead vanished and he finished 3rd but a ride in the Ambulance was the prize. Worst fears was a broken femur, but fortunately just severe bruising. He should be OK for road nationals this weekend.
other racing was the tour of vineyards with Wade and Ryan doing strong rides in prep for nats in a few days.
