well another nationals have ticked over, unlucky for Kiaan to get 4th in u17 road race, but that was following in from a swag of medals and titles at the NZ track champs. NOw he has been selected in the NZ u17 team to race the tour of Goulburn in Aus at the end of the month.
Helped Bryce out with a plan for the Masters world games, he also came back with a swag of medals of all colours including two golds.
Cosmo (u23) has come on board with coaching and getting better every time he races, lets see that continue.
Started using todaysplan.com as a coaching platform and I think its great btw.

out ride Austin
in the last few weeks I have teamed up with Logan Hutchings again to deliver training sessions for his OUT-RIDE mobile training studios. Looks to be a great model using the rev boxes and with Training session to get faster not just a spin class..

been a long time
Still coaching... working with a number of development athletes and also with coach training. Cycling NZ have me as one of the coaching mentors and Sport NZ have me as one of 20 coach developer trainers (coach the coach trainers).
working with Rotorua Racing giving guidance to their racing and training.
one athlete has made the step up to more intense and focused training, as an under 15 athlete, the focus was on enjoyment and trying things in races while developing good habits. Now we will see the physiology develop also with more specific goals and training.
keeping in real and fun

update
Just a quick update on things happening.
Nathan Johnston has been selected for the world MTB champs in Andorra. And Raewyn Morrison is currently sitting in 11th spot overall in the world Enduro series after 3 rounds.
I have been selected in to the Sport NZ Performance Coach Advance Program which runs for a year and is adopting the new Sport NZ coaching strategy.

Well done to Amber Johnston in her first World cup race in Mont Sainte Anne in Canada coming away with a 3rd place in the junior womens grade. Amber is a first year Junior and this shows the talent she has. But mostly it show the hard work she has put in as at this level EVERYONE has talent. Well done Amber and lets see a step up at Windham, New York on Sunday. And home in time for N-duro :-)
